The Gables’ annual “Market Days” Festival
Guests had the chance to buy student-made crafts, cookies and dog biscuits. The wooden plaques, which featured colorful inspirational words cut from magazines, were made at The Learning Center. Also available were coconut white chocolate and chocolate chip cookies, as well as peanut butter and beef flavored “Gourmet Doggie Delights.” The art show was held June 13-15 in The Gables shopping district on the city’s west side.
Students attending the outdoor festival over the span of two days had the opportunity to greet and interact with the public in a welcoming environment, and also raised awareness about autism and other developmental disabilities.
