Hope Prom 2014

May 27, 2014 | Hope in the News

The Hope Institute for Children and Families celebrated prom May 9 and it began with 73 of our students—accompanied by staff and loved ones—dressed in tuxedos and formal gowns as they took part in the grand march from the breezeway to the Hope main entrance.

Once there, they entered the gym, which was transformed into an “Enchanted!” space with a cardboard staircase and other decorations from the recent musical “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” Blue decorative paper was draped over the center of the gym wrapped with white festive lights. Guests were treated to eggrolls, pigs in a blanket and lemonade. A DJ played an array of hits by artists such as the late Michael Jackson and pop star Usher.
