Hope never closes!
Everything we do at The Hope Institute is intended to protect the safety and well being of the children we serve. Like the rest of the nation. we’ve been challenged by this winter’s extreme weather. Unlike other schools, which can simply close because of the snow or cold, Hope’s main campus in Springfield must provide round-the-clock care for children living there. We’re proud of Hope’s dedicated employees who make extra efforts to come to work even when the weather keeps most people home. A number of Hope employees with four-wheel-drive vehicles have traveled throughout Springfield, picking up fellow employees who couldn’t get out of their driveways. Other employees have slept on campus to be available for work the next day, or worked double shifts to assure that all vital functions were fulfilled. Building and grounds staff worked extra hard to make sure that driveways and sidewalks provided safe passage. Thanks to all those who helped make sure the children were safe, warm and well cared for!
