The Hope Learning Academy Springfield was established in 1957 as a groundbreaking concept for children with developmental disabilities. HLAS has evolved into a center combining excellent teaching, state-of-the-art technology and a specially designed facility to allow students with autism and developmental disabilities to achieve their maximum potential.

Today, Hope Learning Academy has expanded into two other locations: Chicago, IL and Edwardsville, IL.

The Hope Learning Academy Chicago is an inclusive model. Most students at HLAC are typical learners. 25% of the students have a developmental disability, with the majority of those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The Hope Learning Academy Edwardsville is a therapeutic day school located in the heart of Madison County. The Edwardsville School provides a state-of-the-art learning environment supported by a staff of certified special education teachers and dedicated therapists and paraprofessionals. HLAE’s goal is to help our children live joyful, independent and productive lives. HLAE programs, which are individualized for each student, are designed to improve basic life and vocational skills while increasing the potential for independence.
