The Hope Learning Academy Edwardsville

Innovative Programming

Hope Learning Academy Edwardsville (HLAE) is a therapeutic day school, located in the heart of Madison County. The Edwardsville School provides a state-of-the-art learning environment supported by a staff of certified special education teachers and dedicated therapists and paraprofessionals. With a population of 262,966, Madison county encompasses much of the eastern part of St. Louis. Of that population, 16% have some form of disability, 5% higher than the state average of 11%. By partnering with local schools, HLAE provides much needed services to children in grades Kindergarten-12th. Students learn alongside their peers in a group environment, outfitted with smartboards, tablets, and specific equipment dedicated to varying sensory needs.

Our goal is to help our children live joyful, independent and productive lives. Our programs, which are individualized for each student, are designed to improve basic life and vocational skills while increasing the potential for independence.

Enrollment

Enrollment in our school is contingent upon receiving a referral from the child’s school district. To initiate this process, parents are advised to communicate with their child’s case manager of their respective school district, who can provide the necessary guidance and support for enrollment at the Hope Learning Academy.

If you have further questions about the school, please contact the Hope Learning Academy Superintendent, Mr. Jim Lee at jlee@hope.us
