Help us expand The Hope Institute Learning Academy!
Parents and friends, we need your help! Sign our petition to help The Hope Institute Learning Academy (HILA) expand from K-5 to include grades 6-8!
Our expansion would allow us to continue to serve your children who benefit academically and socially in our unique classrooms that include diverse learners and general education students. As parents, you see firsthand the impact our learning environment has on your children and how much they love coming to school each day. In many instances, this is the first opportunity many children have to attend the same school as their brothers and sisters. It encourages students to learn from one another, accept classmates who are different and build strong friendships.

My child has been a student at HILA since 2010 and I strongly believe that the diverse classrooms and unique teaching skills of the teachers & staff have helped my son become successful in his schooling. When he first started, he was the lowest ranking student in his reading class and now he is ahead in reading at a 5th-6th grade level and he is only starting 4th grade. I cannot thank the teachers and staff enough for what my child has accomplished here at HILA and I would be overjoyed for him to continue his education with the Hope organization. – Elisa Juarez-Lopez
Continuity in a child’s education is critical, especially just before admission to high school. The disruption between 6th and entering high school will be potentially damaging in terms of transferring schools, getting up and running, getting acclimated to new environments, with all of these disruptions slowing down academic achievements. Staying in the same scholastic environment is the best for each child, giving them the best running start for their high school careers (and college thereafter). – Julie Katz
It is a good structured school, the teachers have been awesome with my son and I would like for him to continue to be in this type of environment. If the school does not expand then our children will be displaced in my opinion. And as for me, education shouldn’t be a convenience it should be about learning. And for that reason I bring my son to school outside of our neighborhood to attend the best educational institution, HILA. – Toya Range
This is an amazing school with all the resources and staff talent to grow and be successful. My two children have excelled beyond my expectations here at HILA and I can’t imagine having to move the older one to another school for 6-8th grade. – Karen Alanis
I am the parent of a 9 year old student at HILA. She is on the autism spectrum and is receiving exceptional education at HILA. I would love for my daughter to have the opportunity to complete her entire elementary education at HILA. It is so challenging to find a good school that practices inclusion. HILA is great at honing in on skills and using methods to help each and every kid learn optimally. It is really heartbreaking to think that after 5th grade, we will have to change the routine and try to find a school that will allow my child to soar as well as she does at HILA! – Paris Ponds
